Ensuring your online store is easy to navigate and visually appealing is key to keeping customers engaged. At Local Line, we’re constantly working to improve your storefront experience, making it simple for your customers to find what they need and enjoy a seamless shopping experience. In this article, we showcase several storefront updates that will help make browsing your products easier, more organized, and more user-friendly.

Integrated filters for a cleaner design

One of the major updates we’ve made is relocating the product filters. Instead of the filters being tucked away in a side panel, they are now integrated directly into the main page content. This change allows your storefront to feature full-width banners that are visually engaging and easy to navigate. The new filter location also creates a more cohesive and clean storefront design so your products and promotions can take center stage.

Easier navigation: Getting to what you need faster

We know that quick navigation is crucial for customers, so we’ve reorganized the filter panel for ease of use. Here’s how:

  • Categories and Vendors are now expanded by default: This puts the most important options—categories and vendors—right at your customers' fingertips so they can quickly find the products or brands they’re looking for.
  • Tag filters are collapsed by default: We’ve streamlined the filter panel by collapsing tag filters. This reduces clutter and keeps your storefront neat while offering the flexibility to expand the tags whenever needed.

These changes help reduce the friction in finding specific products and make your storefront more intuitive for both new and returning customers.

Updates to grid view: A more responsive, less cluttered look

We’ve also improved the grid view to create a cleaner and more organized display of your products. The storefront is now more responsive to resizing, ensuring it looks great across devices, whether customers shop from a desktop, tablet, or phone.

Additionally, we’ve decreased the maximum number of grid tiles to four. This change helps prevent product overload on a single screen, making your storefront less cluttered and more professional. With fewer products per row, it’s easier for customers to browse and focus on each product individually, improving their overall shopping experience.

SEO enhancements: Increasing your storefront’s discoverability

In addition to improving navigation and design, we've also focused on enhancing your storefront’s SEO to help you rank higher in search engines like Google. Our team has implemented Server-Side Rendering (SSR), which improves site speed—an essential factor in boosting your storefront’s ranking. Faster load times mean a better user experience and improved discoverability on search engines.

We've also made updates to improve how your storefront is indexed by Google and other search engines, increasing the likelihood that your farm store will appear in relevant searches.

Finally, we've enhanced your ability to customize social links. Now, when you share your storefront links on social media, your header images and storefront messages for your Home, About Us, and individual product pages will display.

With these SEO improvements, your storefront will be easier to find and more engaging for customers, both on search engines and social media.

Enhanced data tracking: Understanding customer interactions

You can now add your Facebook Pixel and Google Analytics tag directly to your Local Line storefront. This enhancement allows you to track customer interactions, providing invaluable data for your marketing campaigns. As farmers increasingly leverage Facebook and Google ads, these tracking capabilities give you the granularity to refine your strategies and make data-driven decisions. By understanding how customers engage with your storefront, you can continue to tweak and optimize to meet your goals.
