What products does Edacious analyze?
Currently, testing is available for meat, dairy, and grains, with fruit and vegetable testing set to launch this summer.
What do the results include?
The Discovery Analysis provides a comprehensive report on the product's nutritional profile, including benchmarking against average quality for similar products. Farmers can use this data in their marketing materials and pricing strategies.
I'm Canadian. Can I use Edacious' services?
The Edacious Pro Platform is helpful in understanding nutrition context for food from anywhere, but is currently only built to support U.S.-based dietary and regulatory guidelines, primarily from FDA, USDA, and CDC. Anybody is welcome to use the software currently, but should be aware of the limitations.

The Edacious Food Lab is located in Massachusetts, United States. Due to the difficulty of sending agricultural food samples to the US from international locations, it may currently be cost-prohibitive, unless you’ve got an established research program. 

If you’re a Canadian organization interested in working with Edacious, you’ve got a few options now:

Use our software to help interpret results that you’ve received from another lab.
Work with a Canadian lab that we recommend to get results that you can upload

Can multiple cuts or products from one animal be tested together?
The price reflects up to 6 samples of the same food type. For meat, this means 6 samples of the same cut. While you can test as many food types as you like, each would be a new Discovery Analysis, priced at $1,200 for up to 6 samples of that food type.
How long does it take to get the results?
Once you sign up, Edacious schedule your analysis with you. After their lab has the samples, you’ll generally get results back within one month.
