We built this feature to help you sell more this growing season. From the new coupons table, you can see all valid coupons at a glance, edit settings, and expire or reactivate coupons. You can also define eligibility settings for your coupons such as:

  • Limit codes to specific price-lists
  • Set a minimum order value for coupons to be valid
  • Define start and end dates.

How to create a new coupon code

Creating coupon codes is easy. Head to the Payments tab and click on Coupons in the top navigation bar. In your Coupons table, you can see all your coupon codes (active or expired), edit or expire existing coupon codes, and create new ones. Click Create Coupon Code in the top left corner to create a new coupon code.

Create coupon code module inside Local Line

In this module, you can:

  • Create an internal name for your coupon code.
  • Create the coupon code. Your customers will manually enter these codes, so the shorter and easier to remember, the better! All codes will be capitalized, and you can use numbers, letters, and symbols.
  • Select the discount type. You can select from a percentage (%) discount or a fixed discount ($).

You can also enable different eligibility settings for your different coupon codes.

  • Price Lists: Select which price lists you want your coupon code eligible for.
  • Minimum Order Total: Set a minimum amount your customers must spend to claim the coupon code. For example, spend $50 and get $5 off.
  • Start and End Date: Select the date range you want your coupon code to be available. The coupon code will automatically expire after the end date. You can also expire your coupon codes anytime in the Coupons table.

Need inspiration for sales offers?

Make the most of coupon codes by running successful sales offers to your farm store. In a recent workshop, Crafting Offers to Boost Farm Sales co-hosted with Corinna Bench, farmer at Shared Legacy Farms and founder of MyDigitalFarmer, explored all the different ways to incorporate offers into your sales strategy with year.

To get you inspired, here are a few offers you can run using Local Line coupon codes:

  • Seasonal flash sale: For the next 48 hours before [insert holiday], get 15% off the whole store.
  • Refer a friend: Both you and your friend get $15 off your next order.
  • CSA or Subscription renewal: Renew before the season ends and get $50 off your membership next year.
  • Newsletter sign-up for new customers: Sign up for our newsletter and get 10% off your first purchase.
  • Farmers’ Market incentive: Shop online with us and pre-order for the next market. Get 15% off your order.
