How to create a new coupon code
Creating coupon codes is easy. Head to the Payments tab and click on Coupons in the top navigation bar. In your Coupons table, you can see all your coupon codes (active or expired), edit or expire existing coupon codes, and create new ones. Click Create Coupon Code in the top left corner to create a new coupon code.
In this module, you can:
Create an internal name for your coupon code.
Create the coupon code. Your customers will manually enter these codes, so the shorter and easier to remember, the better! All codes will be capitalized, and you can use numbers, letters, and symbols.
Select the discount type. You can select from a percentage (%) discount or a fixed discount ($).
You can also enable different eligibility settings for your different coupon codes.
Price Lists: Select which price lists you want your coupon code eligible for.
Minimum Order Total: Set a minimum amount your customers must spend to claim the coupon code. For example, spend $50 and get $5 off.
Start and End Date: Select the date range you want your coupon code to be available. The coupon code will automatically expire after the end date. You can also expire your coupon codes anytime in the Coupons table.
As the season starts to pick up, getting your sales "ducks in a row" is important to ensure a profitable year. With coupon codes, you can run offers, incentivize customers to shop or entice leads to become customers.
